ROLE OVERVIEW:
Manager Database Administration is responsible for all activities related to the administration of Oracle DBs & SQL Server databases in the application development capacity. He will direct and control the activities related to data planning, development and the establishment of policies and procedures pertaining to its management, security, maintenance, and utilization.



Major Responsibilities:
Installation, Configuration, Monitoring and troubleshooting the performance, tuning, maintenance, support and enhancement of Oracle databases.


Creating and maintaining the strategy for Oracle database upgrades and patching (PSU, PCU).


Working on different Database Performance Optimization and Space Management issues, Query Optimization and Analysis.


DR Site database synchronization monitoring, and resolve the issues if standby database stay behind


RMAN backup administration, archive mount point space administration, EXPDP/IMPDP
Security administration of databases.


Ensure the availability of all mission critical databases.


Backup & Recovery policies implementation


Oracle ASM and GI management & SQL Server 2015 Admisntrations


Oracle RAC with ASM / GPFS / Exadata on Industry standard Operating systems


Operating Cluster File System preparation with respect to Oracle RAC


Shall have the ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.
 
Experience:
At least Four to Five years Experience in the relevant field
 
Education:
Advanced degree in Computer Sciences / IT / Engineering

Job / Project Duties•    To implement the technical design and build of Maximo 7.6 and associated tools.
•    To develop Maximo reports to display Maximo data to suit various client requirements and provide end user support.

Essential / Desirable Experience & Qualifications

•    Strong Maximo programming (MBO, Field Customization) and configuration background, developed through at least 2 years relevant professional experience (essential)
•    Expert experience working in the Oil & Gas or other asset intensive, safety-critical environment implementing Maximo (essential)
•    Advanced Maximo functional experience and knowledge of the Maximo data model to support start center configuration, saved queries and optimized queries used for reporting (essential)
•    Advanced SQL and query tuning knowledge using Oracle and/or DB2 RDBMS (essential)
•    Expert experience of modelling business data using the Work Order, PM, Job Plan, Assets and Locations Applications within Maximo (essential)
•    Experience of developing Workflows/Application Designer (essential)
•    Experience of developing BIRT reports (essential)
